HOME SWEET HOME

The prison sirens went off loud as ever , the dogs barking and prison guards running in all directions two shots were heard, its was very terrifying
"did they catch the runaway prisoners" guards talking over their walkie talkies
"no it was just a wild hog"

The prison was surrounded by a forest ,only one way in and out. It was after twenty minutes that the chief of police arrived at the scene and learned that they had drilled the wall and made their way to the clinic then dyed their clothes with spirits and hand sanitizer for the prison smell to confiscate, then made a rope out of bed sheets and a hook out of a knife that was probably traded by cigarettes . It was a rough escape but they pulled it.

Brad was a cop living in Utah he was not popular probably the meanest cop to ever live he was medium size 5 feet 2 inches tall ,white, with dark hair and he had a scar on his left cheek ,you could never miss him because he had the most evil smile in the whole world.
"hello Mr. Potter"
"am fine Mr. lungberg how about you "
"oh stop with the sassiness lets talk business did you get the deal "
"yes I was only able to lower the price to 4.4 million the house is yours
if you have the money by the end of next week the dealer said the deal
has been on for to long so better hurry with the money because there is
another agent with a proposal"
"thanks"
He put the phone down and started to think where he was going to get 4.4 million dollars or
at least money to start the mortgage bill it was not possible or maybe it was ,he got out of his office and headed home in his 2001 Toyota Camry it had been a long day for and tomorrow was
going to be worse.
Lucio and Leo were walking in the woods in a steady pace ,feet wet, skin cold, and their eyes tired but they did not stop they could not afford to loose time. at this point they were about 16 miles away from the prison. The two former prison convicts were headed to marias house Lucio’s sister ,she did not live far because she use to visit them twice a month. Lucio and Leo were forged and found themselves in prison because of a bad defense in court so they escaped to seek revenge and make things right. Before prison they were highly trained CIA agents there objective was to protect a rich tycoon from Cuba he lived in a very old house but the house was build over an old gold mine site
and there was gold left under the house when most of the workers were fired due to the great depression and when more gold was found in the far west the piece of land was left rich with gold, but the two did not know only one person knew a dirty cop who lived in Utah.
"just a few more miles"
"do you think they are still on the trail?"

"yes I know they have roadblocks and men with hungry dogs on the trail and at least a trail chopper
that is useless they can not spot us when its dark."

The two convicts walked for a few more meters when they both heard a sound none of them wished for
,dogs barking it was terrifying and the hearts started pumping again they had an advantage because
they were trained so they cooled down take the heart rate down and think fast.
"we have to go in different directions we will mix the dogs, 20 steps exactly then we count the number
and see if it is an advantage or not, probably not because of the dogs but we can not afford to look back
its like old days again "said Leo
They both departed from each other , Leo went north but too far because of the police road blocks
Lucio went south and the straight up, in a just a few minutes it was going to be a hot spot lucio first fell in a mud puddle which was good to confiscate the spirit smell then went exactly 20 steps and hid behind a bush probably poisonous because he started scratching right away. There were three guards and two dogs an advantage to the former agents.
Leo jumped from behind and twisted the guard who was behind the guard kicked Leo’s leg but it was too late he snapped his neck and he was down the two guards left turned but there was nothing Lucio turn was here like a ghost he stepped on the dogs neck and caught the guards neck then hit his backbone downward which led to him falling asleep the third guard did not have any choice but to remove his 9 mm he was too slow Leo broke his arm and hit him with the gun but on the head and he was down they had done it ,they took they dogs to the river and let them free to swim if they could. They did not waste any time
in a couple of hours they were ringing the bell to Maria’s house.
Brads mother was in her new home happy with her accomplishments she called her son.
“hi honey”
“hey mom”
“brad I moved in to my new house come for dinner tomorrow “
“are you cooking ma favorite ?”
“yes pasta and sauce come at 9 pm”
“alright mother I will be there bye”
Maria was so happy to see her brother and his friend ,she was part of their plan ,her task was to find out anything about their case on the house and who forged them, she had some interesting information ,there was a cop named Brad Lungberg he was the main player in the case and she suspected that he had some thing to do with their arrest . She gave the two men the address to brads house in Utah and that was their next stop. Maria gave them her late husbands clothes, his truck, and some cash for gas ,the rest was up to them.
Lucio was the one driving Leo made some calls, the first call was to their friend who owned a gun shop in Utah and then to their old friend a former CIA agent they were going to need the help.
It was 8:30 pm and brad was just getting out of his house heading to his mothers new house he did not notice the red truck following behind ,he was not in his police uniform but he never left his gun for security reasons. He stopped at the new address but not very new for him this was the mysterious house he was trying to buy ,.the house that was build over an old gold mine that was still was rich, this was the house that made him forge two CIA agents to get them out of his way and this is the day that he will never forget his the house .
The bell rang at exactly 9 pm a happy Derby opened the door to welcome her son in she gave Brad a big hug ,and they vanished inside the house, leaving the two men in the red truck starring at the door.
“it has been so long honey how are you”
“am fine mother ,how did you get the house”
“Brad you won’t even ask me how I have been?”
“mother you call me almost everyday, and tell me about your house in New York, your trips to India ,I think I know how you have been”

They sat at the table to eat not much talking but chewing it was awhile then both of them were startled when the bell rang.
“who can it be am new to this place”
“maybe your neighbors”
She walked to the door and opened it.
“hello there?”
“hello madam how is your evening ?“
“am fine you must be my next door neighbors because I just moved in?”
“no madam we are here looking for detective Lungberg ?”
“okay then come in your welcome”
As soon as brad saw the two men his face looked like a wet rug he was surprised
“honey wipe the face off this men are looking for you am going upstairs to get my sweater you want some juice or maybe water ”
“no thanks maa’m “said Leo
“okay then you get on with your business”
She left and when she had disappeared upstairs brad removed his gun and put it on the table.
“I thought you were in prison”
“you look surprised to see us “
“because your term is not over yet “
“and that’s why we are here “
“how can I help you before I turn you in “
“you put us behind bars why?”
“I will lay it down to you fresh and clean after that you can go back to prison “
“that would be helpful to us”
“you were in my way off getting this house so I hired someone to frame you it was easy how you both fell into my hand like little mice “(he chucked)
“did you kill Darius “
“yes I did but if this information gets any where else you both are dead”
“we are listening”
“this house is build on top of an old gold mine but it is still rich I mine it get the cash I might give you 9 percent if you not dead yet “
“I say 30 percent “
“no 10 I do most of the work here “
It was getting intense they sat there quiet with the gun still on top of the table they starred at each other .
“what if share the information while in prison “
“then I might as well make sure you don’t get out of this house”
In a spilt second Lucio and Leo flipped the table in front of them and ducked down
“you got it?”
“all of it in the tape, lets get out of here mike is going to take care of him”
“you cant run I will win and you will loose in the end.” shouted brad
Lucio got up and started running as soon as Brad got the gun and that’s when Brads mother ran downstairs she had a bad timing Brad shot but Lucio was too first ,the bullet got Brads mother lower abdomen she fell down it was too painful to watch he got up and ran to her rescue.
The two convicts ran up just to burst into guns aiming at them they had nothing to fear this time they stopped and followed the police instructions while other police ran inside to look at the scene ,they found brad holding his mother crying it was a bad scene with blood flowing down the stairs.
It was all over the two convicts were in a room being interrogated by some cops ,they presented the detectives the tape and that was all they needed all the other charges left were for assaulting prison guards
But the jury let them free claiming that they had already served time for a crime they did not commit. For brad he was charged with second degree murder and forging ,his term was life imprisonment ,he had lost and they had won. The end.
